Angaza Center Partnership
The partnership between St. Thomas More Butare Secondary School and the Angaza Center marks a significant milestone, the first-ever digital literacy program launched in rural Ugandan secondary schools. Together, they have established a state-of-the-art Information Communication Technology (ICT) resource center designed to promote digital literacy for students, teachers, and the surrounding community.
This initiative aims to equip learners with vital digital skills that are essential for academic achievement, professional readiness, and socio-economic advancement. As part of the program’s launch, over 50 educators and administrators participated in intensive digital skills training to support the delivery of Uganda’s new competency-based curriculum.
Through this collaboration, St. Thomas More Butare Secondary School is not only strengthening its academic environment but also paving the way for a more connected and empowered future for the entire Buhweju District.
